Expert Review

The Security Agent role in Carolina offers a starting wage of $11.75 per hour, which translates to an annual salary of $24,440. Candidates must be ready for rotative shifts, spanning all hours. This flexibility can benefit those with varying schedules but may deter others seeking consistent hours.

In this position, agents are responsible for maintaining security in various areas, including terminals and traffic zones. The job requires conducting at least 20 random checks per shift, ensuring compliance with TSA regulations. This level of responsibility can be rewarding but also stressful, particularly in high-traffic environments.

While the role provides a solid entry point into the security field, the pay might not meet the expectations of those with prior experience. Unlike some private security firms that offer higher wages and benefits, Spectraforce's rates are more aligned with entry-level positions. Potential applicants should weigh these factors before applying.

According to the official job listing, agents must stay vigilant and responsive, addressing issues like unattended packages within five minutes. This quick response time underscores the critical nature of the role but also highlights the pressure involved.

Overall, the Security Agent position is suitable for those eager to enter the security industry, especially in a bustling airport environment. However, for veterans in the field, it's worth exploring higher-paying opportunities elsewhere.
