Full Stack Developer

Position Summary The Full Stack Developer leads end-to-end development work streams for cloud-based applications and data platforms supporting CMS and Medicaid data systems. This role drives software design, implementation, testing, and deployment while mentoring and managing junior team members across onshore and offshore locations to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with CMS requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead development workstreams from initial design through testing and deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software. Manage and mentor junior developers across onshore and offshore teams, providing technical guidance and code reviews. Design object-oriented software applying best practice engineering principles including separation of concerns, high cohesion, low coupling, abstraction, encapsulation and information hiding, interfaces, and dependency injection. Provide maintenance and support of servers and n-tiered application architectures, including client-server and terminal services applications. Collaborate with DevSecOps, data engineering, and QA teams to integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. Analyze complex digital data and build visualizations for a website/portal. Build reports and dashboards using UX best practices. Ensure software design and implementation meet CMS IT security requirements and applicable healthcare regulatory standards. Required Qualifications 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing full stack applications across front-end and back-end layers. 5+ years of proficiency in object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices. 3+ years of experience maintaining and supporting n-tiered application architectures, including client-server environments. 2+ years of experience managing distributed development teams, including offshore personnel. 3+ years of experience with cloud-based development environments (Python, Drupal, PHP, and Angular experience preferred) and CI/CD workflows. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience working with CMS systems and/or Medicaid data environments. Experience supporting healthcare or government IT systems. Familiarity with HIPAA security requirements and CMS IT security standards. Experience with containerized or microservices architectures. Background in Agile or DevOps development environments.
