Nursing Skills Laboratory Custodian

I. BASIC FUNCTION

Performs a variety of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe work environment; and performs other related works as required.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lab custodian must ensure that all necessary materials are at hand when needed.

2. Restocking materials and reagents as well as cleaning equipment and laboratory instruments are also part of the typical daily routine.

3. Prepares the materials and reagents needed by the professors and students during the laboratory activities.

4. Prepares the material requisition form when supplies are needed in the laboratory in coordination with the Dean.

5. Ensures precautionary measures needed as suggested by accrediting agencies.

6. Ensures the proper use of laboratory materials and equipment.

7. Ensures proper maintenance of the laboratory equipment.

8. Performs periodic inventory of stock, equipment, materials.

9. Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health and safety guidelines

10. Utilization of materials and equipment

11. Performs any other related tasks that may be assigned by the Faculty and Dean

1. Academic Qualification

Graduate of BS Nursing

2. Work Schedule

Renders hours 48 work week

3. Experience

Laboratory Custodian: 1 year (Preferred)
