Are you ready to lead a team in a fast-paced, fresh environment As a Subway Assistant Manager, you are a key driver of our restaurant's success. You will partner with the Manager to oversee daily operations, mentor a diverse staff, and ensure every guest receives a world-class experience. This role is perfect for a high-energy leader who thrives on varietyfrom managing inventory and scheduling to executing high-impact marketing promotions.
Key Management Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a staff of 412 team members, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and fostering a respectful work culture. Operational Excellence: Maintain the highest standards for restaurant safety, security, and cleanliness. Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Subway's strict quality formulas. Inventory & Ordering: Assist with product ordering and inventory control to minimize waste and ensure the restaurant is always fully stocked for peak hours. Scheduling: Manage staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage while meeting labor cost goals. Marketing & Events: Assist in planning and executing special events and in-restaurant promotions, including coordinating necessary staff training for successful launches. Guest Experience: Act as a role model for the team by providing an excellent guest experience and resolving customer concerns with professionalism.
Prerequisites & Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: Previous experience in restaurant operations is required; supervisory experience is highly preferred. Communication: Must be an excellent communicator capable of interacting effectively with all levels of team members and guests. Technical Skills: Computer literacy is desirable; must be able to operate a computerized Point of Sale (POS) system.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed. Position requires standing, walking, and bending for the entire workday. Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs occasionally.
