TKR Optics Inc. is a Manila-based optical wholesale distributor supplying lenses and optical goods to clinics and retailers across the Philippines. We are evolving our warehouse and purchasing operations from a manual-digital setup toward data-driven, AI-supported inventory management — and we are hiring the person who will lead that transition. The Role Reporting directly to the Operations Manager/Owner, you will lead inventory and purchasing operations for our 65 sqm Quiapo facility. You will manage day-to-day inventory within our cloud-based inventory management system and lead purchasing end-to-end. Beyond the operational mandate, you will be our "data champion" for this department: leading the transition from our current manual-digital workflows to an AI-supported approach that makes inventory management more efficient and future-ready. AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and similar) will be the vehicle for that shift — used strategically to bring data discipline to analysis, reporting, and process documentation. Key Responsibilities As the person leading this transition, you will: Manage inventory in a cloud-based inventory management system with a focus on accuracy and disciplined cycle counts. Lead purchasing: reorder points, PO preparation, supplier coordination, and approval workflows. Introduce and apply AI tools to run ABC analysis — moving this work away from manual methods. Apply AI tools to: a) Monitor inventory movement and flag slow-movers, stock-outs, and demand shifts; b) Identify and refresh reorder points based on movement data and lead times; c) Generate recurring management reports (weekly KPIs, supplier performance, stock aging); d) Draft, standardize, and maintain SOPs for warehouse and purchasing processes. Collaborate with sales on promos to manage excess or slow-moving stock. Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve discrepancies. Uphold proper receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch workflows. Report weekly KPIs to the Operations Manager/Owner. Minimum Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in warehouse, purchasing, or inventory management in a lead or senior individual-contributor capacity. Hands-on experience with a cloud-based inventory management system or ERP. Demonstrated, regular use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) for analysis, reporting, and documentation work Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP minimum). Experience developing or formalizing purchasing or inventory processes. Willing to work on-site in Quiapo, Manila. NBI Clearance (or willing to secure one before start date). Preferred Qualifications Track record of championing new tools or processes (especially AI or data-related) within an operations team. Experience in optical wholesale, corporate optical chains (e.g., Executive Optical, Sunnies), or pharmaceutical distribution. Familiarity with lens SKUs and prescription reading (training provided if absent). Schedule Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, on-site.
