Position Overview We are currently hiring experienced and professional Static Security Guards to join our team. This role requires individuals who are confident working independently, responsive in high-pressure situations, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. **Shift availability between 6:00 PM – 9:00 AM is required. Key Responsibilities Monitor sites, security systems, and respond to alarms, incidents, and call-outs Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and client contacts as needed Complete detailed incident reports, daily logs, and digital reporting accurately Operate radio communications using proper protocol (phonetics, 10-codes) Conduct routine and randomized patrols, inspections, and hazard assessments Maintain safety and security of client property, personnel, and the public Respond quickly and effectively to client concerns and on-site situations Follow Guardium policies, procedures, and site-specific post orders Navigate throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas confidently Assess road conditions, weather, and potential hazards during patrols De-escalate conflicts and manage challenging situations professionally Required Qualifications Legally eligible to work in Canada Valid Alberta Security Guard Licence (required) Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract Minimum 2–3 years of security or law enforcement experience Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking – minimum Level IV) Ability to work evenings, overnights, and weekends Must be bondable and insurable in Alberta Current First Aid Level C with CPR/AED (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) Strong report writing and computer skills Solid understanding of OH&S practices and safety procedures Preferred Qualifications CTSS / PPCT Certification NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) or similar training Background in Police Studies or Security-related education Experience in high-pressure or emergency response environments Customer service or public-facing experience What We Offer Full uniform and equipment provided Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities Recognition programs including: Employee of the Month & Year Merit-based awards Client appreciation incentives Pay: $15.50-$18.00 per hour Application question(s): Do you currently hold a valid Alberta Security Guard Licence?
