Salary: Monthly Salary SUMMARY: Packaging Technician (Senior) POSITION INFO: VACANCY: Senior Packaging Technician A leading milling company in Bloemfontein is seeking a dedicated Senior Packaging Technician to oversee and improve packaging processes. You will be responsible for ensuring products are packaged efficiently and safely while maintaining compliance with quality standards. This role involves equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating a technical team to optimize performance and reduce waste. Location: Bloemfontein Position Type: Permanent Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 Salary: Market Related Requirements Minimum of 5 years of technical maintenance experience. Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.

Ability to attend to after-hours breakdowns.

Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.

Detailed-orientated and structured personality with a calm approach to stressful situations.

Proven leadership skills to manage and coordinate staff.

Qualifications National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF4 qualification.

Electrical or Maintenance Diploma is highly advantageous.

Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities Conduct daily inspections on automated and manual packaging equipment.

Perform fault finding and execute repairs during breakdowns.

Maintain and monitor machinery to ensure optimal operating efficiency.

Coordinate packaging technicians and provide training to junior staff.

Monitor stock levels and order necessary spare parts.

Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to reduce waste.
