Role Summary Join our healthcare team as a Pharmacy Clerk and help our community lead healthier lives. You will be responsible for offering direct patient support through health and wellness services, precise medication preparation, and efficient administrative care. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Reception: Provide a stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, and product dispensing. Triage phone calls and handle inquiries with professional care. Prescription Preparation: Accurately count, measure, and prepare pharmaceutical products using company best practices and automated systems. Inventory Management: Oversee computerized inventory control, including ordering from primary/secondary wholesalers and processing legend orders and Central Fill deliveries. Financial Processing: Execute billing and adjudication procedures; manage Point of Sale (POS) transactions including cash, credit, EBT, and vendor coupons. Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, food safety, and sanitation guidelines. Report any safety risks or illegal activities to management. Pharmacist Support: Assist the Pharmacist in all operational duties that do not require professional judgment, ensuring a high-paced and efficient workflow. Confidentiality: Handle highly sensitive and confidential patient and business information with absolute integrity. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Age: Must be at least 18 years of age. Certification: Must hold a valid Pharmacy Board License as required by state law. Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential medical information (HIPAA). Skills: Basic math proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to manage high-paced, sometimes stressful environments. Preferred Experience Successful candidates will have a background in a Pharmacy Clerk position or a related healthcare role.
