Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is seeking a proactive and skilled Information Security Analyst with specialized expertise in cloud security to join our dedicated security team. This role is based at our facilities in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA and requires a hands-on approach to safeguarding our digital assets and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and managing robust security controls within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), monitoring for threats, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting regular security assessments and penetration testing, developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, and providing security awareness training to employees. You will also work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications. Proven experience in cloud security architecture, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management is essential. Strong knowledge of security principles, network protocols, and common attack vectors is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to effectively identify and mitigate security risks. Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions is also highly desirable.
