Department: Engineering Undergraduate Activity Undergraduate Recruitment Administration Department's Website: https://engineering.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties: The Engineering Student Organization Travel and Event Coordinator will assist the College of Engineering various registered student organizations (RSOs) with planning and executing conference travel, events, hosting speakers, etc. Duties will include working with RSO to secure funding from sources such as ASG; booking flights, lodging, and registration for RSO members; and helping with event planning. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas as a full-time graduate student Must be admitted into the graduate school and accepted into a graduate degree or certificate program Maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 on all work taken for graduate credit Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products Preferred Qualifications: Experience with event planning or travel planning Experience with Workday finance, such as processing credit card transactions and expense reports Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skilled in interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work effectively with limited supervision Ability to demonstrate a positive work ethic Ability to work with a team Ability to follow written or oral instructions Ability to utilize computer software programs or operate fax or copier machines Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Additional Information: Position is required to undergo a criminal and sex offender background check. This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance. The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act was passed in 1990 and was amended in 1998 to form the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
