Head of Litigation – Fully Remote Location: Remote (UK-based) Salary: £70,000 + benefits Contract: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a Litigation Department in a fully remote environment. We’re working with a forward-thinking law firm looking to appoint a Head of Litigation to lead, grow, and shape its dispute resolution offering. This role combines hands-on litigation work with strategic leadership, giving you real influence over the direction of the department. Key responsibilities include: Leadership & Strategy Lead and develop the Litigation Department Set and implement departmental strategy aligned with firm growth Drive performance, profitability, and client service standards Litigation & Case Management Manage a caseload of complex and high-value disputes Oversee cases from instruction through to resolution or trial Provide clear, commercial advice to clients Team Management Supervise, mentor, and develop fee earners and support staff Conduct performance reviews and support career progression Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture Client & Business Development Act as a senior point of contact for key clients Build and maintain strong client relationships Support business development and networking initiatives Compliance & Risk Ensure adherence to regulatory and procedural requirements (CPR, SRA) Oversee file audits, risk management, and quality control. About You You’re an experienced litigator who enjoys both the technical and leadership sides of the role.
